: I am not getting paid by Tom
metrobruce 10-03-2006, 07:56 AM First trip loaded with my Frederico sway bar. 11900#s loaded. The difference is amazing. Semi's blowing by, no sway. Corners, flat as can be. I 95 at 75mph, stable as an empty truck. This is just with the rear on. I know you told me to do the front also Tom, but I didn't have time. If installing the front tightens this up more I'll enter my truck in a rally. Would love to see how it handles through the cones. Also off topic, route 301 south out of Port Royal, VA there is a 6% grade for about 4 miles. My truck pulled it in 6th gear 60 mph on cruise control 1600 rmp without a downshift! Just chugged along, didn't seem to know my camper was loaded. This truck is growing on me.
2fast2 10-03-2006, 05:20 PM How are they for towing? Do they make a difference?
Anybody chime in here!
Big Angry 10-03-2006, 06:08 PM I thought the whole post above you was about towing, did you read it?

Oh, ok. Gotcha.;)
DURAtotheMAX 10-03-2006, 07:01 PM awesome!!!! How long did it take from when you ordered them to when you received them?
SMITH6.6 10-03-2006, 08:26 PM they were worth the money, takes away the sway loaded or empty
2fast2 10-04-2006, 04:02 AM Hey Big Angry. (got that name for a reason, huh?) :D
I guessed it was a slide in, from the context, then googled and confirmed. I'll bet they really help with all that weight elevating the center of gravity.
I just ordered a set. I'm specifically wondering how much they help when towing a heavy (12K) tag along dump trailer. I'll post my opinions in a month or so after they arrive and I get them installed and do another run for gravel.

mtbullock 10-04-2006, 06:56 AM Hey guys,
I know I am a noob, but I just had to chime in. I've done a few mods to my 2006 GMC. The Frederico sway bars are one of the most impressive. When I drop into a corner, enjoying my dmax a little too much:o: , the truck corners like it is on rails.:cool2:
About 2 months after purchasing my truck, I was pulling 14k of cattle to the market. While motoring along at about 40 mph on a very busy stretch of road, some guy in a '78 Ford flat bed thinks he has time to pull out in front of me:eek: . He didn't.:(
But I was able to avoid creaming his driver's side by turning the truck HARD right into the road he was turning out of, while still running about 30 mph. -:t The truck handled GREAT even with 14k pushing me.
If you buy these bars, you won't be disappointed.
It was approx two weeks to get these bars shipped from CA to KY.

It is a slide in. I have not towed yet. As far as shipping, I ordered them while in FL and had them shipped to my home in MD so Tom delayed shipping untill I got to MD. I had zero problems with any part of this deal. Product was as advertised, support was there when I had questions.

I have the ride rite air bags for leveling. Very happy with them also. Yesterday I finished my trip to Merritt Island. Between Jacksonville and exit 205, I have never seen I-95 so empty. I set the cruise on 80 and got down to business. Very solid ride. I don't do 80 with that much weight as a rule. The truck felt safe at that speed.
Denali02 10-05-2006, 09:35 PM Ordered a set a week ago - can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!
