While under my 04 2500HD SB LLY last night (just looking http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif ) I seen there was a heat exchanger mounted right before my fuel tank under the bed? is this to cool returning fuel? Can't imaging why it's there?

return fuel from the engine can be a bit warm so
it is cooled off before retruning to the tank. Remember
the fuel is used to cool things like the edu and
injectors.
