.....crapped his pants??????

Hoot alerted me to GM Special Policy Letter 04039. I read the information 'shared' on this site and contacted GMC. Their representative immediately found the information on my earlier case regarding the repeated injector failures with my '01 Duramax. After consultation with others, this representative informed me GM would send a claims form within a week or two. I was to attach the original repair receipts to that form and ....."submit it for reimbursement".

My perception of time parameters involve weeks and maybe months before there is closure on this. If it turns out positive I obviously owe Hoot and the informing members of the Diesel Place a big 'thank you' and then some.

In the meantime I better continually check my pants.

Larry, I was thinking of you when that policy came out, figured you would have gotten a letter to apply for reimbursment for your injector bills....

I guess as long as "Andystar" isnt in your new truck, all is ok.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

Eric,

How well I remember "ANDYSTAR". Scared the heck out of me and I think of that each time an Onstar commercial comes on the radio.

Strange how events play out for often the smallest reasons. Add some "ifs" on that last run to your place and it sure would be different today.

Hope things work out well for you. Thanks.Edited by: captainmal

Dodge at least starts with a better than average warranty.

7/70 on the drivetrain and 7/100 on the Cummins

Not as nice as the GMC. I sat back there and didn't like the more vertical seatback and less legroom. My daughter usually sits back there. I do like the fold flat floor system and the storage compartments under there.

ski1,

Agree with Hoot. I don't use the back seat area for anything but storage but it sure is nice for that. Compared to my extended cab GMC it is way more roomy for seating and the separate doors are very convenient. It seems easy to get in and out of when I have tried.

Just saw a Dodge in California with larger rear doors ( I think) and a larger rear seat area. It was a 1500 model and looked new. Guess there is that option.

No word from GM but that is expected.....one day???
