I have an LLY w/ 3,800 miles And today I lost power, It seems that the turbo is not as loud as it usually is and when I let off the accelerator I get a “grumble” from what sounds like the air box, starting from a dead stop, 2nd gear hangs and there is NO power. ALSO while in park I rev it up to about 2800rpm hold it there for a sec and the spedo moved to about 5mph and even the DRL’s flashed. WEIRD!!! I just got back from dropping it off at the dealer, I hope it’s nothing to bad, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS ALL SOUNDS LIKE???I am going on vacation this Saturday towing my 10,000# camper, and I really don’t want to use the Yukon, It will not survive the mountains…http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

Ok, here’s the scoop, THE TURBO IS NO GOOD! And there is none locally, there is none in Flint, MI. so now they have to pull one from the line or get it from the turbo manufacturer. I just wanted to update this problem.
The turbo had an assembly problem that led to some type of flap sticking making it sort of “backfire”. The dealer told me the turbo was backordered by GM with a ship date of Aug 8<SUP>th,http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif</SUP> as you might expect I almost fell over, http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gifAug 8<SUP>th</SUP>??? They told me they were doing a national search for a unit, one showed up somewhere and it was being shipped next day.
It didn’t show up on time,http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Dead.gif SO I met with the owner of the dealership and got him to donate a turbo off a brand spanking new truck on the lot,http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Hug.gif I got my truck back on Saturday morning at 10:30am went home hooked up to the trailer and went on my vacation.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Rock On.gifI’m not sure that the dealer was supposed to do this to a new truck on the lot so I will not give the name of the dealership, BUT I will go back there for my wife’s next truck, the owner really stepped up to the plate!

It tows like the trailer is not even their. No problems after the turbo incident. My only issue with it now is that the MPG is not at a level that I expected. Towing I got around 9mpg doing 55-65mph, I have 4800 miles on the truck, I hope it gets better...

It mgiht but I doubt it. Just finished a 4000 mile plus trip and averaged out at 9.6 with a 8K fifth wheel in tow.
