How difficult is access to the top of the Transferflow 56 gallon tank?

Do you still need the quick disconnect tool?

Also, Will the Nicktane filter improve engine economy? I have heard some opinions about this with any addition 2 micro filter but wanted to obtain some current opinions.

Hi,

its actually easier to get to the top of the transferflow tank than the OEM tank (there is no deflector shield to bend out of the way so its eaiser plus there's more room on top). i actually have the 45 gal TFI tank in my shortbed, and its the same as the 56 just a bit shorter.

yes you still need the QD tool.

as for economy, that depends on who you talk to. there are no magic filters out there, but they do clean the fuel up better so you are removing more non-fuel particles from the fuel which would improve the burn. i don't think it would be enough to equate to a noticiable difference, at least it wasn't on my truck. many customers have said their mileage improved, but i am a bit skeptical. i don't believe there is any filter made that will make a noticable difference in mileage. a smoother running engine, yes.
