Will switching from a dual 2 1/4" pipe to a sing 3" pipe get me anymore power?

I doubt it.

I think it might actually rob you of a little bit of power. The cross sectional area of the 2, 2 1/4 give you about 32 square inches while the single 3 gives you about 29 square inches.

Ya, what he said.):D I didn't have time then to go into depth. On a NA IMO duals are best. With a turbo you can't have true duals any way so one big pipe is good enough. If you want a bigger pipe I would get two and have 3" duals.

Yep, the duals are the way to go.

Rock Shoes has his math a little messed up. Single 3" ID pipe is 7.1 square inches. Duall 2.25" is 9.82 square inches. Single 3.5" is 9.6 square inches. Flow rate will be a combination of area and wetted perimeter, with large area being good and smaller wetted perimeter being preferred. The duall pipes have more wetted perimeter than the single exhausts. A single 3.5" is probably a little better than 2 each 2.25" (11.0" vs 14.1" wetted perimeter). If I was redoing a NA 6.2 a duall 3" would be my choice.
