I have to replace the passenger side tie rod on my truck. I was wondering how much of a job it is, and if there are any tips to offer?Thanks alot for the help?

You dont have to replace it, the dealer does. Yours is a warranty issue!


I broke my passenger side rod in nearly the same way you did. I had it towed to the dealer, they called back to tell me how much it would cost. I told them it was a warranty issue and exactly how it happened. They said sorry, no. I said call the area rep.


They called back 3 hours later and said it was covered.


~~~Yes, you and I did a bad bad thing by using 4-low on pavement, but nobody ever said not to! It's not stated in the manual, the dealer never said not to do it when I bought the truck...


I was a "4x rookie" yes, but that doesnt mean a bent/broken rod is ok.
