Anybody here running one of these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/STANADYNE-35976-PMD-FOR-GMC-CHEV-6-5-DIESEL_W0QQitemZ270034185385QQihZ017QQcategoryZ676 3QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Notice the connector is on the short side of the PMD. This would be nice where I have my PMD mounted.

It looks like the picture is distorted from compression. I don't think there is a side mount plug.

Yeah, I know what you mean. ;)
Why don't you do me a favor and measure the gap between the timing cover and the balancer? I had a little stress gettin the balancer back on, and I need to know for sure that it's on all the way before I continue bolting everything else back together.
Then we can get back to pokin fun at them thar super-intelligent engineers. ;)

Been there, couldn't do that - too many water pumps, pulleys, belts, fan blades, etc.
Closest I could get is ~1.5612" from the timing marker flange bolted to the cover.
If you've torqued the bolt to 200ftlbs, it will force the hub into position.
