I just wanted to let all the "crank-no-start" owners know that Edge has nailed the problem! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif I have had several hot starts and it has not 'skipped a beat'. I would understand if you still want to wait to make sure it is a true fix...but I am confident that Edge has fixed the problem.

NoWake200,

I think my attitude is going the crank-no-start thingy. But what happens is that the truck will die either while idling or going less than 30 MPH. When less than 30 MPH it is running easy - not excelerating just constant 30 MPH. At first I could drift over to the shoulder and restart truck. But now when it dies I can crank crank crank and it will not restart until I unplug the juice. Is this the same problem you are talking about. I do have a call into Edge but they have not gotten back with me yet. I wonder is the probelm has to do with heat in the engine compartment, because it dies only when fully warmed up and after long idle times.

BassinRVer,

No, that sounds like a much bigger problem than what us 'crank no start' guys were/are having. Our problem was when it was hot and after shutting it down and after a few minutes when we want to start it up again it would just crank. The fix for us was turn the ign. off and wait until the Attitude de-powered and it start up just fine.

I would call Edge and talk with them...or go to the dealer you got it from. See what they say....Either way Edge will make it right. FYI....I went to the local dealers about my problem and they really did not have a clue....BY NO MEANS does this mean all dealers are this way!

Good luck and sorry I could not help.

What software version would that be? I have the "No start" issue and have been waiting until there was a second upgrade to fix it since the first fix seemed to fix most but not all issues.

Eddie, it is the same version number.....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

Edge said they fixed both hardware and software problems. I have been running it for a few weeks and knock on wood I have not had any problems.

Give them a call they will answer your questions.

Good Luck

Did you have to send in the Attitude monitor as well or is that ok...I always seem to look into these things when they are closed and I can't call to get answers

that's crazy how random the problem is. I wonder if could be a just a bad batch of edge boxes. I have never had a bit of problems out of mine. I got mine about 5 months ago. it's been nothing but http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif's for me. I still can't get over how fast it will make a stock truck. I've already sold 4 edge/*** setups since I bought mine. and I have the comission sales off of 1 duramax of my friends. and my dad's best friend just traded is 8.1/ally for an 04 duramax/ally. and i will be ordering an edge/*** for it in the next couple of days.

The Attitude was fine it was just the Juice.

Chad, you are correct about it being a random problem....but a while back there was a pole done.....1 in 3 had/have this problem. It was a big enough problem that Edge made software along with hardware corrections. Just knock on wood now that your has been working good for you.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

I was one having problems and they are solved by the version I got a few weeks ago. Sorry I haven't replied on the fix before this, but I've been out of town for most of the time since this was a problem...

I have experienced this problem a few times. It hasn't occurred since April(knock on wood). I plan on sending the Juice in for the fix, but that will have to wait until I get back from SD next month. One of my bros has been talking some major smack since he bought his F250(7.3 w/exhaust and intake) and trailer.
