I was putting in my new Attitude overhead mount that I got for father's day. After all was installed, I cranked the truck to check out the EGTs since I now have it going to the Attitude. The message center told me my cargo lamp was on. The only problem is it wasn't and it won't turn on when I hit the button. I pulled the switch and it checks out fine. I noticed I have no interior lights. Not even the map lights when you hit their switches. HELP!!!! What have I done or is this just a coincedence?

Check all the fuses, remove the attitude monitor and then see if you have lights. If you have lights you might want to contact edge, if not then not sure what to tell you. Might be a freak thing... Good luck

Was going to pull the juice completely. I disconnected the attitude without change. Also popped up two codes P0650 and P1643. I have looked in the book at both and it doesn't help just a whole lot on either. I have to be missing something.

The A/J is completely out. Nothing changed. I didn't expect the juice to since I didn't touch it, but have to be sure. I just don't understand how all the interior lights are out as well as the cargo light, but it says the cargo light is on (it's not). It is getting closer to a trip to the dealer every minute.

Okay, here is the twist. If I pull out the two cargo light bulbs, I actually get 12 volts. If I plug one back in, down to zero it goes. The cargo light on message in also goes off. It's like the circuit can't handle the current. I still have no interior lights of any kind. I can't even turn them on with the switch. I have everything out, so to the stealer it goes tomorrow. I also sunburned the crap out of myself working on this stupid thing. Oh well, only 2 weeks till Mexico. (Sorry, mind was wandering to the trip for our 10th anniversary.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif) I figure since I have the strange pulsing when idle and this, no time like the present. A new regulator and whatever this is, maybe a BCM?

Hmm....
Sounds like a bad ground for the circuit. Didn't you say this happened after installing the Attitude in the overhead mount? Could be you pulled a wire loose somewhere?

Yes, I installed the attitude and then the problem showed up. I have looked for a loose ground or broken wire without any success. Since I don't have a Tech 2, I can't follow most of the troubleshooting flow on telling the BCM to do this or that. That is what is forcing me to take it in. Too bad you can't get a tech 2 for less than 2 grand. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

Just called to check and they have not been able to find the short in the lights.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif Well, at least it wasn't something simple. I also looked to see if Tech 2's had come down and found almost 3 grand to be the best price. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ouch.gif To top it off, I had a tooth start hurting and had a root canal done because my dentist will be out the rest of the week. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Pinch.gif I should have stayed in bed yesterday and today. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Dead.gif

The headlight switch had shorted out http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif I had no idea it would affect all of that other stuff.
