My Father's day present was going to truck pulls to see Mr. Tomac run. Perfect weather and Dmax's dominated.

What could be better?

See pics in the racing/pulling category.

This father's day was shared with my son's birthday(he's now 2). Anyhow suprisingly my wife got me a Harley Fat Boy!!! Of course it's a scaled down R/C model(I prefer my Victory anyhowhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif).

I spent the day washing and waxing the max and the wife's T-blazer. The girls washed and waxed my bike for me.

We had a lot to do and got it all done......

As Mac said......a perfect day in New England.

Father's Day was spent driving my DMAX home on a glorious Michigan Summer Day from Kennedy's Open House, which I figured was my Father's Day present.....I'm usually so busy that getting away is rare.

Was I wrong.......

I get home and there's banners everywhere made by the kids (Kole, who's 8 and Hannah, who's 5)

Nothing beats that Father's day card made by your 3 yr old and her smiling face when she gives it to you. That feeling makes me prouder than when Im out smokin the tires of my dmax.

I got to disassemble and troubleshoot a non-working garage door opener. Found a burnt transistor and resistor. Trip to Radio shack today should have that fixed.

Also got a hand-made Father's Day card "from" my 9 month old, complete with footprints. That makes it all worth it!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

My fathers day was spent camping with my wife and kids and the neighbors. I made a beautiful big breakfast with eggs, sausage, fried taters and pancakes. It was a beautiful Michigan morning to cook on the grill and eat at a picnic table. Of course the weeks camping trip ended at home Sunday evening cleaning out the camper and cutting grass.

I got a call from my 21 year old son that is in the Marines stationed in Iraq, just outside of Fallujah. He told me that his division should be back in the states by the middle of July! Sure made my fathers day brighter. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

I spent the day looking for a short in my interior lights. Also got a plate of chocolate chip cookies that my 5 year old pointed out I can't eat cause of my diet. I ate one and gate her and the boy the rest. Isn't that what being a parent is about anyway, sacrafice?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

No big deal I'm sure there'll be other gtg's that we'll both be at. Since I showed up after things started and left before things were finished I didn't get much of a chance to meet many new people either. Heck, didn't even get much of a chance to visit with Eric or JK either, but I'm young and I've got plenty of time.

Eric and JK were exceptionally busy until Saturday evening anyway. The real fun started about 6:30 or so..but thats on another thread...

Mitchagain......that was an awesome Father's Day gift. Let's all pray they get home safe and sound!
