Could someone give me a step by step on how to replace fuel filter on a 94 GMC 6.5 TD?

Also, how do you get air out of the fuel system?

thanks.

Turn the bleeder on top of the old filter.
Then turn the drain "T" that comes off the fuel filter bowl.
If you have a vacuum source, you can suck most of the unfiltered fuel out.
Then remove the filter, check to see if you don't want to clean the bowl and replace.

Air can be worked out of the fuel filter by turning the key and powering the
lift pump with the bleeder still open. It will push air till it's out and then close it.Edited by: quantum mechanic

Also when you pull the old filter make sure the coarse plastic screen does not get stuck in the old filter, it fits over the shaft running thru the center of the filter.
