I am trying to get this motor to start before I pull it out (it is in a rolled wreck). The IDM relay is going off and on ...just like a flasher(with key on). I have traced this back to the PCM (pin 100 if memory serves) Also the check engine light and wait to start lights blink at same rate. When I run the scan tool (scmt). I get ' no dtcs'. I have been back and forth through the service manual cd and haven't found any reference. I do believe their is a short in the tranny and have it unplugged at the moment. When the two plugs going to the tranny are plugged in....the relay ticks very fast.


Oh yeah....when I disconnect either of the smaller leads going to the the glow plug relay, it stops doing that ( but doesn't start and won't communicate with scan tool). It seems the PCM is trying to tell me something (hopefully not that the tranny is unplugged :P) but I can't seem to locate the issue. Anything helps
