A freind of mine said that Quad is gonna be releasing a stand alone speed delimiter in the next few weeks. It's supposed to do tire size adjustments as well. He thought the price would be somewere around 250$.

My Quad has never worked for tire change size. Quad has replaced it religiously to no avail. Works super otherwise

It's funny the 2001's aren't released first. Only one program gets by the 2001's now-the custom tune from TTS.

Anyway you could get it to set the alli to fast learn/reset the tap cells and read/reset codes and the like? I'm sure there are alot of people that dont want to drop all the jack for a tech 2 but would like to be able to do some of the smaller stuff?

While Reggie might have went a bit overboard; his point is sound. Quad has made promises over and over and over and over about the fix being right around the corner. its happened on the 01 speed limiter, the poor shifting, excessive noisy rattle, etc. whatever the problem it seemed to be "we'll have the fix in a couple weeks"... i've just changed my opinion to "i'll believe when i see it and it really works PROPERLY".. i guess he has a way with words, but i should got a chuckle out of ithttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

In all seriousness......how hard would it be to get something that acted basicly as a cheap tech 2 for a duramax? Mess with the alli features and look at parameters and erase codes? Changing tire size and that kinda stuff or removing the limiter would be nice as would being able to comand a 4th gear and lockup for taking it to the dyno.
