I have a 2002 cummins that has an OBD2 code of P0216 which is an injector Timing control circuit malfunction, does anyone know what could be causing this?

hello this is a code that is set mostly because of a pump problem ,most of the time i have seen this code many times and have replaced alot of injection pumps from this concern also, i am a diesel tech at a dodge dealer and we see this alot. hope this helps you 5.9 cummins owner also !!!!
