I own a 04 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Duramax Diesel w/ Allison trans Crew Cab. I just added a set of Air lift Air Springs and I am thinking about adding the Air Lift Sure Set compressor system. I am having some difficulty locating a convenient power source that only supplies 12V 20A power when the key is turned on. Is there a pigtail similiar to the one supplied by GM for the trailer brakes available for this truck??

I assume that you have the in-cab controller for the air bag...?

For 20amp stuff, I'd run a dedicated wire from under the underhood fuse block. There are a few studs to get power from and I'd make sure the accessory had it's own fuse holder, etc.

Depending on the wiring of the switch I wouldnt think 20amp would run thru the switch to run the pump, must be like a relay type? In that case 20amp 12v can run direct to the pump and lighter guage wires would connect the switch.

If you mount the pump near the back of the truck under-frame (dont know where it goes), you could always grab 12V constant from the trailer wiring harness (pigtail at front of box for slide in camper of 5th wheel hookup?), fuse it for 20amp, but then the in-cab switch would have to relay type and could jump lower amp power off the dash fuse block.

Probably the best suggestion...what do the instructions say?????:confuzeld
