This is how I am thinking of reconfiguring the airbox.
It would require me to bracket and trim the box and create a scoop for the hood.
I have a hood with a hole in the right place, a suburban roof for material to make the scoop out of and I will retain the stock airbox for economics and ease of change.

I am going to vent the engine compartment through the back of the scoop.
I can always come back later with a nice custom piece like pleasesurvive6.5 has between the filter and the turbo inlet.Edited by: quantum mechanic
