Will a bad PMD change the way the (auto)truck shifts? Last week my truck had alot of bad symptoms. The majority of them lead to a bad PMD. 1) engine starting sounding like a Cummins 2) Loss of Horsepower 3) Cruise control quit. I poured water on the PMD and it regained the HP, the cruise works again. (SES light still on) But the tranny felt weak, not a hard shift like it should be.. Any thoughts??? By the way I'm trying to get a replacement PMD.

i cnat answer the shifting part due to my truck being a 5 speed but id say you have a weak pmd
