: Edge VS Bullydog
Ok between the Edge juice/attitude hot version and the Bullydog Dyno Domitator (150HP) w/ outlook, which is better??
Also one a side note, are there different versions of the Hot edge setup? Like is the Hot program from edge different from the one from kennedy??
I really just want a ton of low end. I don't want to run 100 plus I just want it to pull like crazy down low so which is better??

The one that doesn't shut you off in the middle of an intersection or on the side of a mountain with a 33' 5th wheel attached....
Do a search on Edge and you'll see what I mean.
Yeah know edge has had there problems but I thought most of that was fixed now, or rmaybe not???
emerson 09-25-2006, 03:34 PM Why risk Edge when you aren't already stuck having spent money on one?
Firefighter 09-25-2006, 04:08 PM Well, it's just my opinion but for a "plug and play", the features that edge has are second to none. I would just hold out a little longer now until they have the fix in full production. It should be any time now and I am positive it will be right.
So really other than the edge havin some problems, HP wises both chips are pretty much the same??
Does anyone know much about the Bullydog dyno dom.?
I mean it has a listin for the triple dog (crazy larry if you want it), the power pup, and then the dyno dom. so is there a difference in the dyno and the triple dog extreme tune? I know it's not crazy larry cause crazy larry is a 230HP tune and this one says 150Hp.

The TD is upgradeable on line. You can use it on any manufacturer Ford, Dodge or Chevy up to 07 so it will come with you if you change or buy a new truck. Unlike the Edge that only fits specific years and models. The basic tunes are Stock/Tow,economy/Performance 90HP and extreme 150HP but if you want the 230HP & 450 lb ft you have to go on-line and sign a waver before downloading the CL tunes. I believe with the exception of EFI live that this is the strongest tune available right now. Of course you do have to access the truck computer and reprogram it. There is always some risk involved when flashing a program to any computer.:uhoh2:

Have fun & :grd:

The dyno-d will smoke the edge, and still be 300+ degrees cooler(EGT'S)
Ok so I'm goin with the dog.
So it's settled the dyno tune is the same as the triple dogs extreme tune, right???
I just saw that in the back of a 4wheel parts catalog and now I can't find the magazine to check if there was a difference in prices.
BullydogPowered 09-26-2006, 10:32 AM i have had the bullydog power pup and the edge. edge brings in power earlier than the bullydog. both work great, edge just brings in the power earlier.
SteveFord 09-26-2006, 11:30 PM I read a post where someone on here did a dyno test with programmers and the crazy larry only added around 145RWHP. I'll do a search and try and find it.

Sorry not even close.......If you want insane power in a hand held programmer you had better give TST or PPE a call ):h Otherwise EFI live could be the best choice :D

Scubamax 09-28-2006, 08:04 PM I've got the Bully dog and outlook monitor. I've had no problems with it and being able to move the programer from one truck to another is great for resale as well. I'm not sure about the Edge, but with the outlook monitor, you can set the defalt egt at whatever you want to help save the motor. I have mine set at 1400 deg and have all the power I want. I'm not into drag racing my $50,000 truck (including all the extra crap). Longevity is one of my concerns. Remember, aluminum melts at 1350 deg!!! Basically what I'm saying is if you do opt for the BD, don't mess with the crazy larry. You'll limp it often and it will wear/break other parts. Unless you're doing a full custom motor/tranny, save yourself the time and breakdown.

I dont care what his "charts" say, the crazylarry is putting more power to the ground than 145hp, and the C.L. is free to download, i will agree that ppe/tst have more power, but the C.L. is a good tune.

:exactly:Except I'm a bit of a chicken and set mine at 1300F :driver:
jon72 09-29-2006, 04:53 AM I didn't have very good luck with my Dyno Dominator. It only lasted about a year and Bullydog wouldn't fix it.This was in 2003,hopefully Bully's products and service have gotten better since.

Is it really a "free" download or is it just a feel good selling point of a "free" download for more hp which should be on the tuner when you get it anyways? "Charts" don't lie, look at which trucks run the best(fastest) out there and see what they have.
