I've been scouring the Forum, searching for items, and have found almost everything I looked for. One thing I THINK I saw was that there is a fitment problem of (certain?) aftermarket air inlet pipes and/or filter boxes on the 2001 Dmax. I'd be grateful if someone would confirm or deny this and, if applicable, list intakes that do fit. I'm in the middle of deciding on exhaust and intake for new Juice.
Thanks.

I went with K&N on the intake system. One reason is because they were the ones that started the whole craze, and they're the ones with the first high-flow filters. I've got a 2001, and it fits perfect. I haven't tried any of the others yet, but I know Volant is known for their fit and finish also.

I have the AFE stg 2 and love it, makes the turbo whistle nice, it had some minor fitment problems. I believe they have all been corrected now. I would get the stg 2 with the pro guard 7 filter and pre wrap.

I have the KNN intake and I love it. There has been some question on thier setup because they move the MAF sensor but I have not had any problems. I like the plastic intake tube rather than the metal (absorbs more heat). I did replace my KNN filter with an AFE pro guard filter and then I put my KNN filter wrap over that. I personally liked the way the pro-guard filter looked and decided to see if it would fit. It did no problem. Also an easy way to get rid of the restriction guage that goes into the end of the KNN filter. I'm very happy with this setup!
