Hey guys,
I just got my Edge hooked up. And let me tell you, on level 4 you can tell a hell of a difference. On level 5, its awful. This truck is a whole new beast. My question for you is, I put my EGT probe where is showed in the picture. I pushed the probe all the way and made sure everything was good and tight. Now, on level 4 and 5 under full throttle, my EGT's are only getting up to around 600 F. This isnt right, is it? I have a full 4" exhaust w/ out a muffler and a AFE Stage 2. Can anbody tell me whats wrong?
Thanks,
Chad

way too low. Maybe a bad sensor?

I had to send my pyrometer back. It started reading around 64-127 degrees, even under WOT. Other here have had 2300+ readings. Your 600 degree reading is a new one, but I'd bet it's the pyrometer. No problems whatsoever from Edge on mine - they sent me a new one with a return label for the old one.
Good Luck.

Just a wild guess. Make sure you maximum EGTS are not set at 600. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif If it is, your in for a BIG surprise power wise!
I'm not sure if it will even go that low. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gifEdited by: Max Power

Considering mine Idles at 250/300 degrees F I'd say they're way low ...
So unless MaxPower from O'Canada went to Al. and switched you to Celsius sum'tin is wrong ....
You should be seeing around 1200*F give or take ....
EH !!!!

You may just have a bad probe (I had 2). Also, try backing the probe out about 1/4" or so from full insertion (that should put it roughly in the center of the manifold), there's a slim chance it's touching the manifold fully inserted.

Hey guys,
It ends up, the probe was barely in the manifold. So, thats the good news, hear is the bad news. The little clip that slides on the probe is stuck. I guess from the heat or something. I have tried to get it off and scratched up my probe a little. Does anybody have any tips? Also, where can I get a new probe and how much?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

Dieselboostfreak,
Use a 3/8" open end or adjustable wrench as a stop for the fitting and ferrule (the little clip). Put a little WD-40 on there and tap it with a plastic mallet. Should come right off.
