Its about that time of year when work gets slow and boredom overcomes me, so its time to start fabricating things in my spare time. I have been doing a little research on intakes thru this site, and I have decided to make my own solid aluminum or steel intake tube while retaining the stock airbox. I have the tube all planned out, but I am in question about the couplers for the ends. I know that most companies use a silicone boot. I'm not too keen on using some type of plumbing supply hose, mainly because of the heat in the engine compartment. Does anyone know where I might be able to find some suitable hose to make my turbo and airbox connections? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Call me. We can get various sizes. Or, check your local semi repair shop / supply store.

if the above suggestions do not yield what you want, go to TRTturbo.com and give em a call, They sell various couplers for turbo apps.

Thanks for all the replies, gentlemen. I'll post some pics when its done. I'm sure it won't do anything for performance, but I was looking for some more turbo whistle without switching to a system that won't filter as well as the oem unit. Besides, if all goes well, it'll look nice. lol
