I have a 2005 GMC 2500HD LLY and have been looking into a 4" straight pipe exhaust for my truck. I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations on a good place to get an exhaust kit, such as a forum vendor or another site. I've looked on ebay and found some decent prices but haven't made any decisions yet. Also, are there any problems or things that could arise after removing the cat?

You want to put a finger stickand blocker plate if you are going to remove the cat, this will keeo your truck from throwing codes. Look in the vender area of this site and go to Kennedy diesel, they sell them.

That is Kennedy sales and service on the bloker plate and finger stick. I would call Mark Craig at diesel performance parts inc he can hook you up with the exhaust you are looking for.

we've got em. but are u looking for a straight system w/o a muffler?
also i've never thrown a code and i have no muffler or cat and i havn't done the egr block off yet. also i'm running a ppe boost controller.

all the kits come w/ mufflers the cat delete pipe is an option. if ya wanna take the muffler out you would have to get your own piece of pipe.

i got a turbo back 5'' from D.P.P, no cat no muffler, they do make a muffler delete pipe. Next Ill order my finger/blocker from kennedy.

Take it to a muffler shop who has worked on diesels before and they can start from the front using the right flange, if they have the one you need or they can build from yours to the larger size, they can use raw pipe to your liking and your routing needs to get a no cat/no muffler system for less than it would cost to buy system that has the muffler and still needs to be modified.
