Hey guys, i have an OEM Allison torque converter part number 29538531, still in the box never used. What can I expect that to be worth? Any idea? Not selling yet, so i didnt want to post this in the classifieds, just looking to see what they are going for.

Thanks.

No, i just got a sweet deal on one, brand new and still in the box. Trying to scrap together enough for my intercooler and figured this may help put a few pennies in the bucket when the time comes.

I think she will probably see a big imporvement as well as the ability to run a little more boost and possibly timing.

Thanks guys, actually i am a guy, LINDA is just an acronym. Sorry for the confusion...:) I should probably have the MODs change that if they can now since its pretty out dated.

Your converter is worth a core price and that's all.

I would have to disagree just a little Mike, i would imagine someone faced with having to buy one new would rather pay much less than what they are going for from the dealer. I dont know how much that is, but it has to be worth more to them than what a core is worth. Maybe your right though, you have much more experience with these things than me. Either way Im just trying to see what its worth. I will probably throw it up for sale next week and see what it brings. Thanks for the input guys.

That converter new sells for 1100.00 and someone looking for that would jump on it. The problem is, anyone looking to upgrade will not be interested. Good luck. :D

Okay, i see. I wasn't thinking about the guys upgrading for performance. I was thinking about the guys who may just need a replacement. Thanks.

If stock ones goes for $1100.00. Why would anyone put the stock one back in then?? Aren't the preformance ones only 1200.00- 1400.00?

I was just thinking about the average Joe, not a performance oriented person who would want to upgrade. But your right, if it were me, i would upgrade while it was out if it was the same price, or even a little more.
