Has anybody put an 05 gmc front on an 02? I am having problems with the bumper. If anybody knows what I need to do this let me know. Thanks

you have to have new frame horns for 03 up

ive seen 03 up grill with 99-02 bumper and it looks great if you want to weld on the new horns ;)

Yeah just finished putting a 03 front on a 02. I had to chop off my old frame brackets and install the frame brackets of the 03. The new frame brackets were expensive as hell, almost $400 for both.

So, I assume you would have the same problem putting a 2002 front bumper & grille on a 2006 GMC HD, right?

I think that the 2002 GMC front end, along with the Denali, are both better looking than the current GMC HD front, with its "shadetree-look" black spacer that doesn't really fill all of the gap between the front bumper & fender flares.

With the oem alternative costing $400, was adaptation not possible?

Here's an example of a 2004 2500 with no spacer above the bumper. It has 8-lug wheels, which should confirm that it's a 2500HD (rather than being one of the variations based on the 1500).

Did GM ever build them like this, or is it likely that it was modified to raise the front bumper?

Mind saying how much for the conversion and how long it took you. Been thinking about that for some time now. Thanks.

There's not much space between the wheel well and tire. Is that a 2 or 4 wheel drive?
