A while back I bought a bunch of 6.2 parts and there might be some 6.5 stuff in the pile but among the stuff are valve springs of two different lengths. I've got a 5 gal bucket of valve train parts and there are some springs that are approx. 2 3/16" long and some that are about 2" long. There is an oil pan that appears to have a complete valve train with the early 6.2 rocker arm assy's. that has a full set of 16 of the longer springs in it. Did the 6.2 use different length springs in the early engines and shorter ones in the late engines. I need to put new springs on a set of 85 heads that I installed on an 82 engine with the old style rocker arms. Which are the right springs for an 82?
