Just ordered a set of MBRP "Cool Duals" for my LLY. My question is...would removing the cat be worth the effort? Have heard and read that it is not that restrictive. Am interested in lowering my EGT's more than just what i'll get with the new exhaust. Would the cat delete pipe be worth installing?http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif

Removing any restriction in the exhaust system will help lower EGTs and improve performance. I don't believe that its a true catalyctic convertor, but more of a soot burner. There are no oxygen sensors in the exhaust system.

One thing you'll get is a lot more turbo whistle and a sweet deep rumble not to mention how awesome they look.

Don't be surprises to see the check engine light come on due to lower backpressure for the EGR system. Mine will remain on for a few drives, then turn off for a few, then turn on again.

You'll definitely be happy with the system
