With all the smoke I doubt he was making 63psi of boost. That kind of boost should have cleared the smoke up more unless hes very modded.

if he was running an aurora 5000 turbo it is possible.

Being new to the diesel world... I am daily amazed at just how much a consumer product can be pushed safely and fairly inexpensively.

When running "twins" are they in parallel or series?

"twins" are in series for the most part and are really just compund or dual turbos rather than twins - as in two turbos just alike. Banks did actual twins in parallel however. One for each bank of the engine.

how come nobody has done a parallel setup like that?

Probably limited in space. Not exactly alot of room under our hoods. Plus I'm sure a nice big single properly spec'ed could make 700-750rwhp and 60psi or so and be completely streetable.

Have not seen you around for awhile. Good to see your still around.

Well like I said highly modded and lots of cash it is possible.

I don't think twin 5000's would handle 90psi:)

Would take serious fueling (which is fairly possible now) to spool up even two stock chargers if one is only feeding each bank of the engine. A bunch of new parts (intake system, exhaust system - can you say true duals!!, etc.) would have to be fabbed up for the intake system and locations for the turbos themselves may get tricky. They could be remotely located like some of the F-body kits if there isn't room under the hood.

It would be interesting though. I know I have seen it done this way on gassers. Then when they need more, they run two turbos in series on each bank. Quad turbos! :ro)

:exactly: , If you've seen the pics of the Banks set up, it took some serious R&D just to develop the intakes. Relatively speaking Compound twins are much simpler. In both cases choosing the right turbos also take a lot of R&D
