i need to pull the balancer to fix my coolent leak. can some that has done it before in a lly give some pointer on pulling it.

what no one has pulled the balancer. i would think that eric would have something to say at least

The hardest part is removing the balencer bolt. Don't wast your time with a 1/2" drive anything just go strait to 3/4" drive. Oh don't forget your cheater bar!

Going to need the flywheel holding tool, which means starter has to come out. That balancer bolt is torqued to 250ish pounds! Gonna need a big cheater bar and everything you got to break it loose. Balancer is a slip fit, so it should slide right off after you muscle the bolt out. Good luck!

it was not easy that is for sure. after braking to breaker bars. i ended up pulling the radiator and intercooler. so i could use my 3/4" inpact to get it off and if worked like a charm.
