I'm new here but you may read more from me since I just bought a new "600" QC 2500. Actually, like Hoot, I traded my Duramax in and took a leap...Like most people, we get used to a certain item and can have a hard time adjusting to the new one. I miss my Duramax but do like many of the things on my CTD. The seats are really comfortable (leather), nice interior amenities, stereo (infinity) is ok. I will be pulling my TT after I get my 500 miles in and look forward to all I hear about how well she pulls. I'll keep ya updated and may have some more questions about things as they arise.

dont know if your duramax was stock, but which one in your opinion is faster? also, is yours an auto?

My DA was stock (2001), both are autos, and the DA was much faster, especially at the beginning. The CTD does have a great increase in speed at around 40-50 mph. Getting running boards on today, more to come.

We just pulled our"New Vision" ultra.. Weighs 13100 loaded, GCVW is at 21000 lbs.. This damned truck pulled like a "freight train" up a 3 mile 6% grade!!! . Started at the bottom at 25 mph and hit the top at 60 mph!!. Used the "tow haul mode" since there is not 500 miles of towing on the truck yet..The truck just kept gaining speed, did not downshift into a lower gear.. It pulls much much better than the 02 PSD we traded in..
