Hired Gun

Since owneing the truck, I have noticed that the paint had ripples all over the truck. So out of curiosity, I went to my GM dealer and had them look at it. The head guy said he was going to make a call to some rep. Then GM would look at it. What can I expect from this? Will they sand and repaint my truck? Or are they just trying to passify me?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

My '03 Summit White Sierra was delivered with some paint flaws on the hood. The stealer said, "no problem, our body shop will refinish it". According to the stealer's body shop manager, there are 15 different shades of Summit White. It was a big mistake to have them repaint the hood. When they completed the work, it was a perfect mismatch. Very few body shops can make an after market finish look like the GM factory finish. My ’04 has a much better (but not perfect) paint finish and I hope it will never need any repainting. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Disapprove.gif</TD></TR>

My 03 is pretty orange-peely all over. Not at all like my wife's 95 chevy, which has a great paint job. I agree with Dura_Mike in that it's not worth the risk of ending up with something worst.
