Hi all,
does the 97 cooling upgrade improve a lot cooling on truck? I and a buddy are seriously thinking about this upgrade but are still wondering if it's worth the time and money :
my truck is a 1996. It has the twin thermostat housing, but I guess the 87 GPM water pump, nbot the HO 130 GPM. It's true that I don't tow anything so I have no way of overheating, except 2 times, while driving 5 kms high slope to a pass, where the temp reaches a close 100°C at top of hill :stirthepo
Concerning my buddy, he has a 1995 with single housing thermostat and I bet the stock 87 GPM water pump. For now he is towing a 2 horses trailer, but soon he will have a 4 horses trailer to tow. I bet he will probably meet overheating issues...
But we still wonder if the 97 upgrade will be enough or it would rather be better to care about EGT or other cooling upgrades....
Any suggestions?
