Looking for new tires and am down to 2 different. I am looking at the Bridgestone Revo's and the BFG KO's. I drive the interstate alot, but go off road some. Also looking at going to a 265/75/16 rather than a 245. Only about an inch difference. Also if I but an J/A can I correct the speedo? Any input on tires would be appreciated.

I dont think you could go wrong with either tire. The truck will look much better with a 265 than the stockers. The juice doesnt correct the speedo. You will have to have a tuner to do that.

Thanks guys for the info. Does anyone know anything about Cooper tires? If they are good or not?

My own opinion is stick with brand name tires. However I have only had Michelins on my trucks.

Those Revo's are like gold up here in Canada. I just got a price for 265/17R/16 and they were $300 each http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Shocked.gif http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Thumbs%20Down.gif

The J/A won't do anything for your speedo as White Dmax said, but it will display a corrected read out on it, if that's one of the parameters you choose to display.

W/ the 265 tires, your not looking at much difference in speedo any way.

2-3 mph at cruise speed.

I have run lots of BFG AT, decent tire and 3 ply sidewall helps towing.

My BIL had a mink ranch in the family for many, many years. Every car, truck, tractor, wagon, and wheelbarrow (well, that might be a stretch) had Cooper tires put on them when the OEMs wore out. They are good tires. I've had one set of them on a car and they were as good or better than any others I ran on that car.

Pretty satisfied with mine. I will be switching to a slightly less aggressive tread design when I'm done with these. If you get an aggressive tread design, then make sure you rotate on schedule and often to avoid bad wear patterns.

Cooper cant be too bad if it is the only brand Boeing will put on a 747. Just somthing to think about.

265/75/16 Cooper Discoverer H/T's here...very nice riding, quiet tire. I drive more highway than offroad, like you. I'm very happy with them.

Thanks guys for all the feedback. Now I just have to come off the hip with the money. Can I go with a load range D or should I spend the money for the E's?

Depends what kinds of weight you are gonna be dealing with. I put "C's" on mine. Better ride, and tows the trailer pretty well.
