hi guys i have a 04 2500 with the lly motor. I have a 4" exhaust and a superchip flashpaq tuner. I was running the perfomence tune. I was stepin on it coming up a hill and it suddenly would not shift into overdrive. I was only half a mile from home so i hooked up the tuner and read the codes.
i got codes c086b and p1841.
I removed the codes and installed the stock program back into the truck.
The check engine light went off but i really em wondering what these codes are.

P1841 Transmission Transfer Case Shift Motor Short Circuit To Ground

C086B does not appear to be a valid DTC. It should be like the first (a letter and four numbers).

Cxxxx is a loss of communications code. You'll need the right code, there are no letters in DTC's. Also unless you got it read at the dealer, the Cxxxx code is incorrect because the Flashpaq is not going to read loss of communications codes, only Pxxxx powertrain codes.

Well actually I just had this happen to me as well on my lly. I cleared it already but it will happen to me again on my way to work tommorow and I will tell you what the code says.

I have bully dog triple downloader, intake exhuast and shift enhancer.

My 03 popped on day and would only go forward in 2nd gear, regardless where the gear shifter was. I had to disconnect the batteries to make it driveable. the stealer had no explanation for me.

Hey guys.
I have an O3 as well as a Fashpaq. I just had some tranny issues and read the codes. I got the exact same codes as heavyhauler today. My fifth gear limped and when I pulled over it would not let me shift into reverse and I had no TQ lockup. After restarting the truck it is all back to normal...well as normal is it was working before the limp.
Just my 2 cents.
