Earlier in the year, GM sold a Dale Earnhardt Intimidator limited edition SS Silverado. It has a signature cluster in it. Does anybody have one of these, and if so, how far off are the tach and oil gauges in your Duramax? I think it would be sick to have this rare cluster in my truck, but I am not a big fan of white-faced gauges, and there's the whole "it only comes in a gasser" issue.

Anyone?

I think your biggest issue would be that it is for a gasser and not a diesel. BUT you could always use the faceplate from the gasser and swap it with your diesel face plate. Another idea would be to take your faceplate out and have a place silkscreen whatever design, signature, etc. on top of your factory faceplate.

if he swapped out the faceplate and put it on his diesel cluster, woudlnt the rpm be way off?

Mostlikely, but if your just puttin around town and letting the truck shift on its own, It wouldn't matter. Or add a monitor like edge or bully dog outlook and you have correct rpm on that monitor.

A friend of mine has a esclade dash in his 05 duramax. It has a trans temp gauge also. I think he said that the oil pressure was the only thing that was off. It would peg when cold.

Thanks for all the responses. I was debating putting one of these in my dmax, but have decided to get a Diesel Escalade overlay from JP customs, instead. I do think, though, that the factory escalade overlay would probably work, too. I bet that the tach & oil gauges could be recalibrated to take out most of the error...
