I went on E-Bay and bought a new set for $280. One box was opened, the other sealed.

Is there a noticable difference between the light output of Denali headlights & the stock ones? Do they use the same bulbs & plug-ins?

Unfortunately, the last set of Denali headlights the seller sold had a hole in one of them. Check out his feedback rating. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Dead.gif

Opps! I just checked and I actually bid on those lights but got out bid at the last minute. Close one! I bet he has sold about 10 sets of "new" lights on there over the past couple months. That is why you should always check the feedbacks before you buy!Edited by: 03GMC2500HD

If you go to the picture of the damaged lights....

http://i21.ebayimg.com/03/i/01/ae/4a/29_1_b.JPG

You can clearly see about a dime sized hole in the left hand lens.

He SHOULD have indicated this however.

So on these lights, only the LOW beams are HID, the highs are regular bulbs, right?

Any special wiring harness needed?

neither is HID.

Standard low beam and PROJECTION beam on high IIRC

Yes, the output is noticably brighter. They plug right in and both bulbs are 65 watts.

The low beam is projection the high is regular with a better reflector. No special harness needed. It comes with the correct hook ups. Super Diesel Edited by: Super Diesel

The ones with the orange lens in the sides are OEM. Super Diesel

If you are looking on Ebay and they don't say OEM or factory then they most likely are not. I saw the ones with the amber lens and they look factory but nevder say they are only replacements. I would image they are OEM knock offs or "replacements" as they state

Do a search on ebay for gmc sierra headlights (put in your year as well, but most are 02-04). It'll bring up a variety of different options that look very similar to denali, some as cheap as 175, and I think they look better (clear markers).

I tried the Denali lights in mine and found the light out put was about half of the stock headlights. My stock low beams are just as bright as the highs on the Denali lights. Anyone have any idea why that is?

Diesel 5 I really like that hood. Might need to pick up one like that!

Did you use the 9005 high beam bulbs in the projector housings instead of the 9006 low beam bulbs? I bought a pair of Denali headlights on eBay a couple weeks ago, & while I don't think they improve the light out-put much, they certainly didn't hurt any.

Can't imagine what else it could be. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

I put a stocker in one side and the Denali light in the other and compaired them at different distances. The Denalis won hands down on low beam and on high. In bad weather the gap was even greater.

That is a nice look. I also like the wheels on the picture of the truck that Road Boss posted that he said he found on ebay. Are those wheels or just covers? Anyone know who makes those and where they can be found?

Super Diesel I did the same thing and had oppisite results. Wonder why the difference. I would assume the Denali lights should be brighter but they weren't in my truck????
