I now have a couple thousand miles on my new '07 LBZ.
All I can say is - WOW! ! ! I love it!!:cool2:

I ran it for about 800 miles or so and then hung my 25 foot RV off the back and headed through the Canadian Rockies. What a great experience. I especially liked going up the mountain passes with the cruise control on, passing people. Effortlessly too I might add.
In addition to a 5400 pound trailer, I have 2000 pounds of rack and toolboxes on it. Then some scrap aluminum and a pile of other junk in the back. That put me at about 16,340 pound all together.
I sure like the 6 speed Allison with manual selection. I do notice that there is very little difference between 5th and 6th.
I was on a road trip when my '03 gave me so much grief I traded it in 700 miles from home. It is the identical truck with only a couple subtle differences. When I got home, I asked everyone if they noticed anything different about my truck. Most said no. Only one observant friend noticed the chrome wheels and the different Dmax badge and the foglights. My wife still has not noticed the chrome wheels!! Hahahahaha !!!! But then it took her 2 weeks to notice I shaved off my mustache!! Heh heh!):h ):h ):h I still rib her about that one.
Anyhow, it pulls great, runs great, looks great and I don't have to stop every hour to pour coolant in it like my other one.

17,000 on my LBZ pulling the the trailer in my avitar. No complaints at all and was able to climb Carlsbad caverns N.M. at 55mph. This truck is faster, a better puller, rides better, and gives better mpg pulling and solo then my sportchassis M2 with 330/1000. Plus it was less then half the price of the freightliner piece of sh*&. This has got to be the best diesel avaliable today.

I have around 15,000 miles and not one problem. I've done a few mods which have only made the truck more fun to drive. Without a doubt this is one great pickup truck.
