I just purchased a new 2004 F-350 and really do like it. We have a new 34' Fifth wheel RV on order and look forward to pulling it with the F-350...

I have never owned a Diesel before, so I am having to learn a lot of new things... Ford has some good Manuals but they are not very detailed...

My concern is: With 2 Batteries how would you "Jump-Start" in case of a dead Battery? We plan to do a lot of Traveling and hopefully this will never happen, but I like to be prepared... I also do a lot of Deer Hunting in the Tennessee Mountains and would not want to be stranded...

Any insight would be appreciated...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

Same as any other vehicle. The owners manual shows you everything. Its still a 12V system as they are wired in parallel.

A mechanic told us it's preferable to jump the passenger side battery. Not sure why and could find no ref in the manual for this. But there it is FWIW. We have a '99 F250 Crew Cab.
