Boy did I have an experience last night... there was a big rain storm last night (more like hail) and I was driving down a back road. It was raining sheets and I couldn't see a damn thing (literally) I was with my girlfriend after having picked up her little brother from a rained out swim party. So we are on our way back to my girlfriend's place to drop off her brother... I'm cruising down the road and I hear this big bang in front of me and sure as sh*t a huge tree fell down right in front of me. I was doing about 35-40MPH, slammed on the brakes and crunch. Next thing I know my front tires are sitting on top of this fallen tree. So I back up off the tree, get out and I'm ready to have a heart attack when I look at the front end, but... NO DAMAGE!!! Just a bent license plate! I couldn't believe it, I had to look at it about 10 times before I could believe there was no damage. So anyway, this tree is about 3-4 feet in circumference and about 50 ft long. By this time there are quite a few cars that couldn't get through the road because of the tree.... Luckily there was a nice farmer that lived on that road and he gave me a chain to pull this tree off the road. So I hook it up to the hitch in 4 wheel high and drag it down the road, up his driveway and into his field (mind you, it's raining buckets and I figured I would get stuck) but I never did and it pulled that tree like a champ, it was effortless! I have definitely found a new appreciation for my truck. What an experience! Most importantly though, no one was injured! But I was soaked to the core!
