well a day after we got the truck it started making this funny noise at start up and would go away when the engine was warmed up..........bein a new vehicle i was told it might just be the new belt and give it some time........well a week has gone by and its still not gone.....i tried puttin some bar soap on the belt to see if that would stop it but it hasnt helped. when i look under the hood the sound is coming from the area by the belt tensioner. it almost sounds as if it has a bad ungreased bearing somewhere...............


the other noise sounds like a slight ticking with a perfect tempo kinda like someone playin the drums........i hope this makes sense...is this an injector noise??

congrads on the new truck the the belt chirp is annoying I had the dealer install a new belt and tensioner and no more chirp,my truck would chirp when I turned it off also every thing was fixed from the new belt and tensioner hope that helps and your second noise is normal also it should disappear after 2or3 oil changes there are posts on both topics
