Eric or Patrick, Lately when I use my high idle @ 1250 rpm, the motor lopes and shakes the truck pretty good. Smooth idle @1750 rpm and when the high idle is turned off. Is this a big concern? The truck has 35,300 miles and just started doing this since it has gotten warm outside.

If you have a LB7 Duramax then you have to install it .... A dealer can also do it if you ask for it ...

A LLY the high idle kicks in automatically ...

So it only does it on the lower setting of High Idle ?? No one has connected a tech II recently ??

I know of a few guys with 02's that tried to change the settings had issues that were similiar ...

It only lopes on the low setting. Use it mainly to cool the truck down quickly. No one has connected anything to my truck recently. Just a side note, the engine noise does seem to be getting louder with age.Edited by: aketay

The high idle on an lly engine is for cold weather only. I have an lly engine as well and would like to be able to idle up for jump-starting purposes and warm weather high idle. Does anyone offer such a product? Practical solutions had one for my dodge but don't offer one for the duramax as far as I know.

Mine did the exact same thing the other day ....
It would lop at 1'st High Idle setting not on the other two ...
But it also loped at Reg Idle .... A couple quick throttle blast cleared it ...
I fear time is up for my sticky FRPCV ,,,,,
