I have an '03 GMC 2500 HD and the brake lights won't turn off. It is like I am sitting in it pressing the pedal. Any thoughts on what might be wrong.

You have to look under the break pedal for the break light switch. It's a momentary switch. Most likely that is your problem. Look at it and see if it clicking in and out. If so I would unplug it a and check it with a ohm meter or test light. Most time it will not work but staying on can happen as well.

Had that happen to my 99. The switch failed to on. Not hard to replace. Depending how it failed the Torque converter probably wont lock up.

Ok thanks guys. I just went out and bought a switch, it was 26 dollars. I will change it out tonight and let you know.
