I bought some precut tint from a place, and Im fixing to put it on. It would be a lot easier if I could get the door panels off. I tried lifting, but it didnt seem to work.
Any tips on this one?
Thanks

There was a thread on replacing the door handles that had info on removing the door panels.

manny tranny,
to remove the front door panels you need to remove the trim panel around the door handle. start at the rear of it and pull it outward and it will pop out. remove the small triangle panel at the top front of the door. it pops outward also. remove the 7 mm screw under the armrest pull handle area. grab the pull handle and slide the panel up about an inch and it will come right off. then unhook the wiring for the window/mirror switches. DO NOT USE A DOOR PANEL TOOL TO PRY OUT!!! the rear door panel on a crew cab truck comes off similar but it has two 7 mm screws, one around the armrest area and one down low.when you apply the tint use lots of soapy water until the tint is where you want it and then squeegee it. hopefully you have instructions, because window film is a pain in the a$$http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gif. good luck and let us know how it turned out.

To add,
I believe there are two 7mm screws in the front panels ....
One at the door armrest and one behind window ,seat heater and mirror controls ....The lock slide pops right off ....
The only udder pain is the lamp in the lower left courner ... It's easier to just take socket and bulb out together ...
On an Ex-cab the rear doors have two visual in the cup holders ...

Thanks for the replies....
The place screwed up, and I have just now gotten the right tint...Ill try it tonite!
I hope it works.
How hard can you press on the squeegee thing? Light only, or can you go at it?
Also, can you double stack tint? I paid for the two front doors, and they send enough for the entire truck. Ive got the factory tint, but I may as well ad it all on.......http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

add it on the factory is tinted glass not tinted film. light pressure on the squeegee untill you get it started else youll slide it. work from the center out, if you slide it start working it the other way with the squeegee. you will find once its stuck you can work it harder but gotta be careful. let it dry before rolling the windows up and down repeatedly. window tint sucks when its balled up inside the door.

Got one side on, the other side was not willing to cooperate. It ended up in a ball in the trash can.
Ill have to look at it tomorrow, and decide wether or not to order a fresh piece.
What a bitch to do.
