What kind of Brake mileage can be expected on a dmax 4X4 CC? I do about 50% city and 50% highway driving with light towing.
Thanks

60,000 with a lot of towing, and so far so good. Probably time to take a look again.

Almost 88,000 and the Check Brakes light came on yesterday, but i checked the pads about 3 weeks ago and they looked pretty decent still..... Anyone think $280 to replace pads plus another $80 to turn rotors is bad??

My 01 has 150,000 miles on it and it still on the orignal pads. It is crazy but expect 100K.

The ceramic factrory pads are hard as a rock and last seemingly forever. My 01 had 78,000 on it when I traded it and still had 30% remaining.

2 sets of rear brakes 16000 then the 2nd set at 25000 light duty brakes on a heavy truck. the older trucks had much better brakes 86 the 95 are OK but 03 just plain out suck. I guess they think that every one rides empty on the highway.

Wow that's great brake wear, I am a former "furd" guy and 95 need new fronts every 20K some kind of problem with those years. Every since that I worry about screwing up a rotar, first time it happended is cost me allot.
I guess I don't have to worry about that for awhile. Man i am glad i got a Chevy! Thx

Hey "onesilvertruck" if that's labor and everything that sounds about right................. I was a former "dodge" guy too and it cost me a bit more than that a couple of years back as I recall.

I have 100K and 50% brakes left. No towing and lots of freeway and mountain driving. It's one of the better aspects of the truck.

'01- 180,000
'02- 160,000
'02- 140,000
'02- 185,000
All work trucks, never touched pads, all still in good shape, will let you know one day when I do a brake job. No time soon, I'd suspect.

I do some towing on my fiver. 40,000 new pads all around, rotors starting to rust pretty good too in between. Will prolly have to replace all four rotors and pads at 80k. 03 pads and brakes do suck.

My '99 gaser had 200k on the factory brakes when I traded for my D/A.

If you are having brake pads wear prematurely, then buy a set of NAPA Ceramics. These are the best darn pads I have come across. I got 50K out of a set on my old F450. Only reason we replaced them was a woman broadsided me and broke the front end pretty good. Looking at them I bet I could have gone 15-25K more, and that is towing 75% of the trucks life. Ofcouse it was a flatbed tow truck, and I am not easy on brakes.

my 04 has 149000 miles and still original pads. There is still 1/3 of the pad left on each. Some heavy towing occasionally.
