New to the Forum, and have found a wealth of insight and information. Just bought 04 LLY CC SB SLT 4X4. Natually I want every MOD I can afford. So it becomes a matter of priority, and the major concern seems to be proper fuel filtration to protect the high pressure electronic fuel injection system. So I have read and reread posts concerning the methods and preference's, and have come to the conclusion that a lift pump and pre oem tank filter is a must, with possibly a third 02 micron post oem filter.

I have noted several packages from an equal number of vendors. While researching the lift pump/pre filter combo I found an article involving the RACOR/Ford Global Research concerning a Diesel Fuel Conditioning Module. This is a 10 PSI lift pump combined with a replacable filter media module.

This unit is available from RACOR in the 3-4 hundred dollar price range, sold under the Racor mobile filtration P-Series. I have not seen any mention of this unit in forum discussions. The unit is not that new, so I'm asking if anyone has ever looked at the RACOR P-Series DFCM liftpump's for use on trucks.

The DFCM has a 02, 10 or 30 micron element availability, and comes in three sizes(and 3 prices). it is a self ontained unit with 3/8 npt inlet and outlet for use with vaccumn supply diesel fuel systems.

I am interested in some of the Group Purchase's, and hope to obtain a larger fuel tank replacement (supertank) and thought about doing all the work at one time. I am interested in thought and experience with the Racor P-Series.

Thanks Mark

All I see is a filter at that link. Where is the lift pump?

The link takes you to Racor where they show the after market product they developed with Ford Global Research. below is the actual Ford concept, not necessarily the Racor end product.

The lift pump is self contained within the head unit of the assembly! this is where I thought the beuty of the design was in its simplicity.

Diesel Services in Salt Lake City Utah use's these all the time on the big rig's, and say they work great...MY concern is of course the cost of this complete package VS. the cost of the seperate filter and lift pump assembly, then having to screw around with mounting everything. My thoughts were the P series from RACOR might make install easier, and what about puting a 10 micron spin on in between the P-Series Racor and the Fuel tank? Then we would have three filters, lift pump working to supply the main OEM and injector pump, with most of the work done before ever getting to the engine compartment.
