Horsepower calculator works pretty well for a bracket car. Do the numbers add up for a diesel truck? http://www.speedworldmotorplex.com/calc.htm

No, doesn't add up :)

It says I am making 678hp which is probably 100hp high.

our trucks are 7k lbs, right? It says my truck made 375 at the wheels which is consistant with my stock wheel numbers plus 6 gun on level 6.

Your truck will be nearing the 8k mark

no way...not that high, I recently took my truck to the track and they have a vehicle scale there that I pulled up on to. My truck was in low low 7k area...like 7050 or so. Unless their scale is off...no where closeto 8k

The one over on tdg.com seems to work much better. The one you linked tells me my truck weighs under 5000 lbs! I wish!

The GVW on our trucks is 9200 lbs and the 3/4 ton payload equals 1500 lbs.
9200 minus 1500 is 7700 lbs.Our trucks are not light in any way shape or form.
It still is amazing how much power the Dmax can generate stock.
Hope this helps on everyones hp calculations.

With the above calc. it shows me at 771HP RWHP):h and with the TDG calc. puts me at 643RWHP. Thats at 6600# with driver, which I don't think I'd ever make in my crew cab.

Never dyno'd over 580hp, but that is at 25 pounds of boost. I run 50 pounds on the race track, most likely the difference in hp #'s.
