I ran the absolute peanuts out of the ole girl yesterday. I had a round tripper from Atlanta down to Waycross. 90+ degree heat w/ the bug screen over the grill. Coming back I got in a pack of cars running 85-100MPH and hung like a brama bull. The reason for this post...at 2500 RPM and just the right amount of throttle the pilot injection turns off. I must say that's how I like my diesel to sound! The question is...why does the truck surge and pull with more power when the pilot shuts off??? Seriously, if your running 85 and the pilot goes off you have to let out or it will keep on pullling past 90mph! It would be awesome if someone would make a switch where you could turn off the pilot injection to make it sound like an old nasty Power Choke (i'd pay a couple hun for one).
