On my vette, I can read DTC error codes on the DIC.


Can you do this with the LLY? Seems I read somewhere you can, but I cannot find the thread with "search".

I don't know if Ease will scan it. I think you atap? Maybe I'll try it on mine and see if the Ease will do it. Nology also has software for pda's. It works pretty well but is limited compared to Atap or Ease.

Do you need someone with a Tech 2 to clear codes for you?

Naw, Autotap will read and clear codes, but it is a PITA compared to doing it through the DIC.


I know EASE can to, if I can just figure out how to convince it that this isn't a V6 Pontiac.

Whew! Didn't really have time to drive to Corona this weekend, but would have if you needed it.


I know what you mean about the Vettes DIC, It's so nice to clear the codes using just the DIC buttons. Maybe some day the trucks will have this feature.

Thanks for the offer though. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a "back door" to get the codes with the DIC, because the PCM certainly has the ability to do it.

What version of the Ease software do you have? My version only supports up to 2001, and when I use that command set, I don't get much info out of my LLY.
