At work today i had to pull a transmission out of a F550 service truck.
Pilot bearing is shot and input shaft guide looks like crap for lack of better words.
I was giving some page numbers in a general repair book about 4 inches thick to read. From there it appears to be a ZF S6-650 6 Speed manual transmission. It appears i need to take the back side of the housing off and completely remove the main shaft and dissasemble it completely to get the input shaft off.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this and knows a faster or easier way of doing this, since looking and Exploded Views of the transmission, pulling one shaft at a time is not possible and the mid sections of the housing will need to be removed as well. I need this iformation by tomorrow morning 6:00am, so if it is at all possible someone could help, PLEASE i ask that you do, and thanks in advance for ANY help.
