with cold weather on its way i decided that tonight i should plug in my block heater for a few hours just to make SURE everything is operating as it should. that way when i NEED IT this winter i dont end up laying on the frozen ground trying to make things right again. that SUCKS.

so tonight after it was dark i went out and plugged it in and ZZZZZTTTTTTT ZAP ZAP SPARK ZAP POOF! :ro) let me tell ya, a fire in the engine compartment at night really is kind of pretty. all i needed was a stick and some marshmallows. and maybe a hotdog?

boy am i glad i checked it out NOW and not later.

it doesn't get cold there does it?:muahaha:

Hey guys, what are block heaters? Seriously, it does get to 32F once in a while here, about three times during the winter. Maybe I should reconnect my glow plug relays!:lol:

block heaters are block heater, a little heater thats installed into a frost plug and has a little 120v cord comming out of it and running to the front of the truck to plug into a household outlet.

It was just a little humor, CD. Thanks for the explanation. I do know what they are, but never have had to use them in Florida. Not yet anyway. Just trying to make you guys jealous!
